Thread: Now unlimited 256Kbps for Rs.750/-

Now airtel has made unlimited 256Kbps speed as Rs750/- (refer 15/12/07 Deccan chronical paper) .Is there anyone here who tried that ? .
i was so excited as soon as i saw the news

because i am going to get double speed than what i have now by paying just Rs 50 more than what i am paying now,i got furthur information form customers care and told to my brother with whom i am sharing net connection ,but he is not ready to change to that plan ,he is taking care of billing and other stuffs so i am not in position to talk anymore about this to him.I am still hanging to unlimited to 128Kbps speed ....
Hope posting this thread will make somechanges in my net speed ....

I am already havign this connection which i think is a really good connection. I get a download speed of 20-22 kbps which i think is great but i am looking forward to upgrade to more speed lines.

ha..ha..nice presentation....but tell me are they really providing this much speed or this is also like the one that is just mentioned in any plan..!!i purchased BSNL broadband and they were saying the speed would be 10 mbps..but its never more than 30-40 kbps..is that so with airtel too??

For getting a new connection you would need to go to local Airtel office and from then you need to ask a representative for a new broadband connection formalities and he or she would guide through all he process.

here there is no wire or cable. is it possible to get?

not to offend you but that speed is crap for a 256k connection...a 256k connection should give u atleast 29-30KBPS as i get in my mtnl...

If you are talking about airtel wires then i think it is necessary for them to have wires in your area so that they can offer you connection. Just ask about the availability in your area.

yes they really providing this much speed .Airtel is far better than BSNL ,you can use almost enjoy your entire bandwidth which is allocated for you

I'm paying Airtel INR 1200 per month for the same 256kbps unlimited connection. I really wonder how you guys are getting such a connection for INR 750? Can you please tell me the cities in which this INR 750 plans are avail? Thanks in advance

it is good we have taken this connection in our hostels in manipal.consistent good speeds of 32-35 kbps no problems yet

uff my bad luck..In my area also there is no Airtel wire ..i talk to Airtel person but they just told planning to cover that area but it was a 3 month old story and still no wire..

still hanging with sify cables..

its nice to see that you guys are migrating to 256kbps, but i am still hanging with 128kbps......

I am residing in Bangalore..You know wat guys, i am also using Airtel 750 plan for 256kbps. usually i used to get 30-32 kbps download speed..But from last night i am getting a download speed of 110-120 kbps..Gods know how...I was amazed to see that..great..do any of you guys have also got th same speed?? Recently i got a download speed of 200 kbps i.e the movie of 700 MB was done in less than 2 hours.. infact, the same happened last week with stati speed of 140-150 kbps...
