    Exclamation airtel dsl line drops

    Hi Guys,

I am using airtel broadband for couple of years. Though I would not complain much as the speed (when it works) is okay. I have a 256kbps unlimited connection.

For last couple of months I was facing a problem. My net used to disconnect frequently. It would work for sometime and then my router's light would start blinking and it would reconnect. From time to time my line would drop.

I am using netgear adsl wireless router. Airtel guys came and checked, and they told me to get adsl modem as they though router maybe faulty. I got their (airtel's) modem but the problem still persists.

What could be the problem? Though I told them to check the line but any advice from you guys.

    location : New Delhi

    Cheers,
    GR

I would say to call them again and say them to check the line so that if there is any fault with wire or some connections anywhere they should fix it.

This is not the problem with your modem as per i think. There is a problem with your wire and the best sollution to this would be to get it checked from Airtel representative.

    Wink seems okay

    Hi,

I replaced the wire that connects the modem to socket. And told them to tighten the wire that connects at their end.

So far it seems to be working fine.

    Cheers,
