better to take 2megs unltd at 2222, much much better. IT will give optimum speeds of 150-160KBPS too at times and reduce headaches of monitoring bandwidth used

An 8Mbps plan with a 4GB limit only works for those who know that they are going to stay within that limit for sure without needing to check it. This pretty much means that you will have very few or zero downloads of huge files (100 MB and above).

Practically speaking, for surfing the net only, you would hardly notice any difference between 512 kbps and 8 Mbps.

So, at one level I agree that an 8 Mbps plan with a 4GB limit is not practically a wise option. I would recommend that if you are going to download data in excess of 4GB, go for the best unlimited plan for your city.

Delhi has come out with 1 Mbps unlimited plan for Rs 2222. This I feel is an awesome plan. Bangalore offers 512 kbps UL plan for Rs 1499. Check up your city on the airtel website and go for the best UL plan. There is hardly a point in having an 8Mbps connection with a meagre download cap.

you are talking about 8 mbps they have not even touched 5mbps till yet and they are still in testing. their engineer comes to my place and gives call to their server people frankly they have not gone more then 2mbps till yet. ill ask them to change the plan to 256 only because download speed i am getting is only 100kbps
