Thread: can we share internet with usb & Ethernet in beetel 220bx adsl +modem

Please help i have airtel connection modem 220BX ADSL2+ MODEM
it has one usb port & one Ethernet port i connected through rj45 to my desktop
now i want to connect my brothers laptop at the same time using the modem"s
USB post i have installed usb drivers on laptop & i tried to connect to net patch cable(rj45) ethernet was working fine on desktop , & other computer also has usb dsl router network device connection installed and when i connect the usb the modem Pc/usb LED turns red (means usb is connected) but when i try to browse there was no connection but when i click on usb dsl router connection the activity shows sent 131 recived 3 Packets
i dont wanna use hub/crosscable/switch

please if someone can help and guide step by step thanks


is it possible to connect ? some how in my mind i have feeling that it could be done
will it divide the bandwidth between two computers ?
please i don't want to share the computers, just wanna share the net only
