Thread: Configuring airtel line for a BSNL modem

Hi guys,

I needed to test my laptop's wireless adpater hence borrowed a BSNL WA3002-G1 modem from a friend. I have an airtel connection (ADSL 220BX beetel modem).
From most of the posts I could get the idea of configuring the BSNL modem, however its only showing limited, local connectivity....also the wireless connection asks for pass phrase.
1) there's an existing pass phrase...which when entered is stated as invalid.
2) I am not sure what encryption should be selected.(TKIP or AES)

So if anyone of you have an idea how I can configure my airtel line to work with my BSNL WA3002-G1 modem...plz help.

Dude.. My advice for you would be dont change any major configurations...

Just note down the DNS ips and feed your user name and password in the page.. tats it..

Let the other configuration be same ...

Coz am using a BSNL modem (Huewai - Sterite.. Model no like MX100T***)

I did the 2 things alone as i mentioned earlier..

1. DNS ips (Primary & Secondary)

If you are chennai, your DNS will be as follows
Primary DNS : 203.145.184.40
Secondary DNS: 203.145.184.13

2. LAN ip (usually you can enable DHCP i.e 192.168.1.2 To 192.168.1.254)
3. Username & Password
