Rep Power: 0  |  Error 678 on Airtel broadband..plz help Hi people.. I have been using airtel bb for quite some time now..I am using RB comtec modem..( black one)...i download stuff 24hrs a day using Utorrent...until recently..i got a message " Error 678, the remote computer didnot respond" I am receiving this message randomly..once in a day for sure since past week...Due to this my internet disconnects on its own..What could be the problem..?? Please help me people to resolve this irritating problem.. Thanks a ton in advance |

Rep Power: 2 | I used to get this problem when on BSNL Broadband when trying to connect using a windows xp dialer and the modem configured in bridge mode . The solution for this was simple , just setup the ADSL modem in PPPoE mode and then let the modem connect to the service so that you can connect without dialing in , well this is recommended for users with unlimited packs .  |
