Thread: plz teach me to connect to remote pc using telnet

guys whenevr i try connecting my pc wid my freind's pc using telnet it says it did not due error in port 23
wat can i do abt it
if possible tell me some odre way 2 connect also

Tell us how your two machines are connected.

By default, it wont let you connect. some service should run on any ports to let incoming connections or you should open that specifi port.

To connect to a remote PC (not inside your own private network) via Telnet, port 23 needs to be open on the target PC. Opening this port is extremely dangerous and not at all recommended - you are inviting trouble from hackers basically.

The other option is using Secure Shell Telnet which works on Port 22. But even here you need to have a lot of firewall and other controls to prevent malicious intentions.

Please tell us the reasons why you wish to telnet to a remote PC.
