Default Using BSNL Huawei WA3002-g1 modem with Airtel

I want to use the Huawei WA3002-g1 (1 ethernet port with WiFi access point) with my Airtel broadband connection. I got this modem originally from BSNL. I have shifted my residence and BSNL does not have its service at my new residence. I found a post along similar lines on this forum (http://www.indiabroadband.net/airtel...em-airtel.html (Using BSNL Huawei modem with Airtel)) but this doesn't seem to help me much. Airtel has given me specific IP address for their gateway and I am not finding an option to edit the gateway IP address. Any clues on how I can change the settings on this modem to connect to Airtel?

Go to Network connections in control panel.
Right click on the LAN (ethernet) icon,
    click properties.
A window will open in which you'll see
1-"Internet protocolTCP/IP"(the bottom of the menu inside the box)
    2-double click on it
    3-another window will open,
    4-and there is your gateway

Thanks for your reply, but I want to set this on the modem so that I can establish the link with Airtel. I want to use my laptop to connect to the modem using WiFi. With BSNL, I was able to connect using my laptop without chaning any setting on the laptop since it was getting the IP address, gateway and DNS directly from the modem. I want it to work this way since I will be using the same laptop at office also and don't want to keep changing the network configuration between home and office.

Do you mean they have provided you a static public IP?

No, I mentioned that Airtel has given me specific IP address for their gateway. At least that is what they have done in the Beetel modem that they provided. They have also set the IP addresses for the primary and secondary DNS server as well. On the Huawei modem that I originally got from BSNL, I am able to see options for setting the DNS servers but no option to edit the gateway IP address.

open the lan card properties. then
    tcp/ip
enter the ip address and gateway of huwai modem then enter ok
now, open browser ,kept the gateway of huwai modem in address bar.
the configuration interface of the modem will open the wan settings
    go for pppoe mode
enter the username and password given by airtel
    vpi /vci will be 1 and 32 respectively..save it
    and enjoy the net
