Thread: How do i check my internet speed?

Hai,

I was on a '128 Kbps Unlimited' plan then i got a letter from Airtel saying that my plan, by default, would be upgraded to a '256 Kbps Unlimited' plan from this month, which should be from today. But i see no difference in my download speed yet. So how do i check on what plan i am on and what my connection bandwidth is?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can check your plan details only in your bill or Airtel Website. the speed you can check in Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

and you will get the speed!

You can check your internet speed here ip-details.com It provides ip address,domain host search,ip search,get ip details....

its simple ..
just download any thing and watch the speed
If it is 32kBps that means u r getting full 256kbps

Or u can try different sites for speed chk like

speedtest.net
2wire.com

The best way to know your correct and actual download speed is to download something say any web browser or any freeware from CNET or to be precise try downloading via http.., that will tell you what actually you are getting in terms of kilo Bytes per second (KB/s) not in Kbps notice the small b and capital B,

in my opinion these speed tests websites are not that much of accurate or reliable i must say....
