Thread: Wireless - Single Laptop ??

Hello..
Regards to all..
I am planning to get a laptop soon ,
Am using a Airtel landline connection with unlimited broadband on it..
Would it be possile to get Wireless access to the internet on My laptop..
The confusing part is whether I require a desktop as a server or not..
I will be only having a single laptop at home , no desktop , is it possible to have wireless internet..
What would be the minimun cost to get the router..
Also Please explain in detail

Would it possible to ask Airtel to upgrade My old wired router to a wireless One free of charge (I do Not pay any rental for that cause of some promotional scheme I requested them for)

from airtel, ask for wireless router. You will get Beetel 440TXI modem. Monthly rental would be 99 rs i guess but not above that. I dont know the buying cost.
Its enough to get this modem alone. You will be able to connect as many systems as you can.
