Thread: Drastic Slow Down In Downling Speed

Folks,
I have a 256 kbps unlimited connection.
Till 15 days back, the downloading speed that I used to get in downloading torrents was superb ie. upto 200 KBps. This means that a 1 GB file used to get fully downloaded in just 2 hours or so.
Since last 15 days, I have noticed that the downloading speed has come down to mere 30 KBps.
I have also noted that the download and upload data quantity in almost the same now a days.
Please help if someone has a solution to it.

There is no solution

if you are on a 256 kbps connection then you should be getting 32 KBps speed

If you are getting that be happy

any thing else is bonus

can you post the SNR and line attenuation rating from your modem settings?

these values give a anlaysis of whether your line creates a problem or not

I shall be highly obliged if you could pls tell me the terms "SNR" and "line attenuation rating". Also pls let me know how to get the desired figures from my modem.
