I had the same problem with BSNL that you are facing for more than 7 months ,SNR ratio was over the roof , the BSNL DNS also sucks so when u get connected , u cannot browse , then there's always a fiber break every now and then , BSNL blames the road construction guys , simply said , BSNL is a govt run organisation any repair work will take ages , When I had BSNL UL 750 Plan , I used to get pathetic speeds ( 18 KBps on a 256 Kbps connection ) and disconnection problems are frequent , so I gave up , switched to Airtel broadband after a colleague at work recommended it , now I am a more than satisfied customer , in the last 4 months I have had 93 to 99 % uptime , I am not kidding , 93 to 99% uptime !!! ( I always get above the promised speed , usually getting an average of 300 Kbps ( 37.5 KBps) on the 256 Kbps plan , even every 2 months , guys from airtel come home to check the line quality , Go for Airtel broadband blind folded man , It's only 50 rupees costiler than BSNL for 256 Kbps , whats more , the other day , I enquired about their new plan 888 plus where u get 512 Kbps unlimited in the night time for just 88 Rs extra than the 256 plan , all unlimited . I should have gone for Airtel long time ago , but it was better late then never . I live in Pune . F.Y.I ...... ( Trust me , you are making the right decission )
