    Default Big speed burst

This was like a dream come true (for me).

    I have a 256 ul connection.

Today in the morning, I started utorrent to download a 2.94 GB game (Age Of Empires III).

My normal d/l speed as per my connection is 30-35 kbps.

But today, it was a whooping """"270 KBPS"""" and this happened for more than 2 hours. I dont know what is happening.

But, as it was 11:00 a.m., it again got back to the normal speed of 30 kbps.

Can anyone tell me what actually happened?

    I wish this happens everyday

Guessing from his post in Airtel section, the ISP is probably Airtel.

    yes...my isp is airtel

    and today it happened again!!!

actually, i installed an accelerator called "CFOS SPEED". As i prioritized utorrent for the bandwidth, my download speed shot up to 170 kbps!!!

but i think that airtel monitors and puts check on the fun :36:

now, i have to look for some strong encryption program to hide my activities from airtel.

Can you guys help me in this idea?

Enjoy your good luck while it lasts.

Happy for you. Airtel has given you high speed for less.

I once got a speed burst like that. I have BSNL 750ul- 256kb data plan. And it lasted for three days. Every day from 8 AM to 9 or 10 PM. I thought BSNL took of their speed limit(Silly me).

Port forwarding methods depend upon the modem and not ISP. No special configuration for Airtel.

Refer to http://www.portforward.com with your modem model number.
