Thread: Configure Airtel on a Xavi (tata indicom modem)

I have a Xavi - X7721r+ modem from my tata indicom days. Have shifted into an apartment which has an airtel connection. But there is no modem with the connection currently. I thought i could use this Xavi modem for the airtel broadband connection. Tried configuring it as well with customer care help. It still doesnt work. Can someone help me with this????

Have you selected vpi/vci as 1 and 32.
The other settings are almost common to most modems.
Post ipconfig/all and your modem's wan page .
If there is a diagnostics page see where it shows fail.

Indicators
· PWR -- Green LED, indicates power and operation
· LAN -- Green LED, indicates local interface link status
· ACT -- Green LED, indicates data Transmitting / Receiving
· WAN -- Green LED, indicates ADSL data link
· ALM -- Red LED, indicates data error or operation fault
