Hey, my problem is still not resolved....... do you wanna go for such a brilliant service from Airtel. Its total rubbish. Go for Tata Sky anytime.

Our son working for a MNC stationed at Gurgoan opted for AIRTEL IPTV
surprisingly it was very quick service and activated the day they have installed.
One land line phone 4044810 one wi router for all the 3 rooms I was surprised to get my lap top work in all the rooms my neighbour teenage girls also happy with the internet connection. TV channels a bit dis appointed we are from hyderabad
we need maa tv , zee telugu,svbc(srivenkateshwara bhakthi channel), and sundry telugu channels . But air tel prefered ee tv, eetv 2, TV 9 and saptha giri only kindly activate all free telugu news channels and oblige we are waiting for
these free teleugu channels so that we can recommend airtel iptv to our friends
residing in the vicinity.
Our sun soon after he rented his house at sector 14 gurgoan bought airtel digital TV now it is disuse and want to send the same to Hyderabad for his parents use but customer service instructed to pay Rs 600
for replacement as Rs 900 is the price of sun direct to install its full services at Hyderabad why charge Rs 600 Rs 200 can be charged for the service and it will be customer friendly also

it is written in the south mega pack that South Economy + 15 channels = 176 channels which includes Surya and Kiran (Malayalam) since it includes in the South Super value package as a basic channel.
As per message conveyed by the AIRTEL TV I have been asked to top up the channel if I wants to view Surya and Kiran channels. This is somewhat a cheating programme by the AIRTEL TV network. I simply post a protest as a warning to poor customers who believe in the authenticity of information given in the website. I am thinking of filing a consumers court case against this misguiding brochures displayed on the site.

I am new member and this is my first post here. I have decided to move to DTH from cable and would like to know get few suggestions for which to go as a value for money option.
My requirements are-
1. basic hindi ent channels..
2. Hindi movie channels
3. English movie channels
4. Few music chanel
5. English 1/2 news chanel and 1 english business channel
6. Also would liek to get sports channel if possible only as a short term option for the world cup cricket coverage...
Can you people offer me any good suggestions...High quality of picture is not very utmost importance to me as I dont consider myself so expert in that , and I believe almost all channels offer basic minimum quality better than which I get from local cable for my LCD tv

After the worst experience with Sun Direct , I opted for Airtel Digital TV with recorder.
I could not contact the customer care even once after i installed the aitel connection which has been more than a year now.
I am planning to migrate to other operator probably tata sky.

I had been customer of Airtel DTH for a while, and a very aggrieved customer. My story reflects the current state of service being provided by Airtel DTH to their customers. Based on the harassment meted to me by the Airtel DTH, I request you please audit Airtel DTH track record, and if possible cancel their License.
Hereby please find my story below.
This is for my Airtel account 3007128702, I paid for this connection in February for a Airtel connection along with the recorder ( amount Rs. 3600), After I paid the money, I called them multiple times fo the installation, the customer service kept telling me engineer would come evening ,he would come morning, but I never saw a face. Moreover they used to raise an issue, and close it even without checking if the installation is done or not. I called airtle DTH customer service more than 50 times during these days, but of no avail. A month back, they told me that they no longer install normal recorder, and then I asked my money to be refunded, for this also I have called more than 15 times, but my money has not been refunded. I don't understand what kind of service it. I have wasted money, time and gone through mental agony for such a small thing.
This is for my account:3001382295, I have this account for a couple of years now. some 8 days back there was a problem with setup box. I raised a complain. The engineer came and replaced my setup box, but till date my connection isn't working, it had be 8 days, and I am getting no channels. I have made 25 calls to airtel customer care service. Everytime they give me an estimation of 1 hour, but nothing really happens. Till date this isn't working.
Based on my experience with Airtel DTH, I request you to please impose a high penalty on Airtel for worst service., and also audit their track record, and based on that cancel theiel license. I have talked to theri managers, but of no avail. I have called them so many times that I now know quite a number of people in their call center. But any attempt to meet them is useless, they have no office, no one we can really meet. Its such a horrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend Airtel to anyone. I am a cricket lover, and my idea to purchase Airtel Recorder connection was to record the Cricket World cup, and many tournaments after that are already over, but the connection is still not installed, and my money not refunded.

Got very bad experience with the customer service people of Airtel DTH.
Better not to take the connection. The customer care people have no manner and don't have enough knowledge as well. They are unable to solve your problem. Airtel gives worst service.

till now i have no issues using airtel for last 2 years ...
the stb with airtel tv sucks....i m getting it replaced the fourth time in two yrs and each replacement costs me 500 bucks....dont know how to respond ..m too thinking of shifting to tata sky as airtel is getting really careless on its customer base....
Please dont go in for Airtel DTH. One of the worst DTH Networks in terms of quality, usability, customer service etc.
I am a Tata Sky customer and tried airtel. But god help me, I was left frustrated and unsatisfied. Switched back to Tata sky!
Airtel DTH - is a S***TY n USELESS service. Please do not venture even a kilometre of this useless service.
They do not have the basic set-up .Even a third rated cable operator - of the wire/cable types which hang on your terrace are light years compared to this bull shoot service.
If you are thinking of buying airtel service - just roll those notes - pour some petrol and burn it. Or you will end up feeling miserable each time you switch on your TV.
People like xwhyz get paid by AIRTEL for spewing marketing jargon on unsuspecting people...
hello friends i recently took airtel digital tv online through vissa debit care i got 450 rs discount. next day i got message from airtel that thanks forchoosing airtel and after that i recieve a call from airtel that you have paid for airtel digital tv and installing will be done in 72 hours and cust id we are giving to you. but they came for installing with in 8 hours for booking. and they installed in one hour . so i am very much satisfied with online booking.but dealer are chargin same box for 5450 and they will tell if you book online it will take 15 day to for installation.but it didn,t happed to me. coming to the service of airtel dth the clarity of channels of very especially sd channel and hd channel are also very good .
Hello, I have Airtel DTH HD Package, It's very good, But the service of Airtel Customer Care is worst. They never answer you. and Very poor Balance service.
But i you want any DTH , You should go for Airtel, It's great and GUI is also good.
My Airtel DTH connection is just over a month old. Out of which more than 15 days it has not workled. Today the 15th day after complaining and the problem still continues. How shameless are they to call me again & again and ask me if the problem got resolved? Don't they have any contact with their service department? No one comes to resolve, they expect my problem to be resolved mysteriously without someone visiting my place?
Everyday i get a call by a new person, asking me the issue i have been facing and my address etc. etc.. Worst service i have ever seen. When they take long time for a problem in the heart of Bangalore city how can they reach rural villages or other towns.
Even a simple daily-wage worker keeps his promises, but not the Airtel DTH team.
This is my honest feedback, hope it helps others.
Hmm. At least the CC is calling you back asking whether the problem is resolved - most of these providers simply close the call without any resolution. Part of the call center employees salary is also linked to number of calls they keep open. The duty manager is most anxious not to keep any calls open for more than 2 days. I am afraid that Airtel DTH service is reliable to some extent in Delhi/NCR only. My friend in Pune has similar tales full of woes.
As far as rural scene goes, I will tell you that I travel on the road quite often. In the villages/small towns I pass (in MH state), I rarely find Airtel or Videocon D2H or BigTV. 90% of the times I see DishTV antennas while 10% of the times it is TataSky.
