Thread: Airtel DTH/STB Eating My Display

Hi There , I am not sure if someone else is having the same issues with Airtel this is my 3rd Airtel Stb and same problem all the time .

When i am watching Tv the Airtel Stb is still on but my V Display goes off and i have to turn off and on the Airtel Stb and it works for like 2-3 Mins and again the same thing ..

I got this issue before 2 times and intially i got my LCD Changed thinking it could be a TV Issue.

This only Happens with Airtel STB but not with any other Device attached .

Any Answers would be Welcome ..

I too face the same problem. I called up Customer Care, they told me to do the preliminary stuff like taking out the view card wiping and plugging it again. Still i face the same problem. Finally they said they'll send the technician home and rectify it, but worst part is that they would charge me 300 bucks for this petty work which is totally unfair.

There may be a signal problem, i.e. the positioning of the dish may be out of the signal range.

There are hell lot of problems with Airtel:
1. Customer care is not customer friendly
2. Warranty period (180 days) very less than any other stbs and this is not told to us during installation
3. All trouble starts only after warranty period completes.
4. Money...money...money without quality is Airtel's bottomline.

Only solution.....Give up the connection and swear not to be an Airtel customer.

I used TataSky before and I regret for giving up the connection. From my experience, TataSky is the BEST.

HI there thx for the reply .. i agreee with ya Airtel sucks .. i have a tatasky in a different room i wud move tht to this room .. and tht shd take care of it .
