About LinkBacksif i have an existing airtel dth connection and am out of station for say 6 months and don't recharge my account for 6 months--how will the charges work out while reconnecting???

It is best to contact Airtel. I do not think that there are too many members with Airtel Digital connection. And none would have tried out this option.
But my guess is that they will charge you reconnection/reactivation fees. No idea about the quantum. As I said, best resolved by talking to Airtel.
