Thread: How to record TV Programs from Airtel DTH to External HDD ?

Hi,
Can someone please suggest how can I record the TV Programs from DTH to External HDD so that I can view them again/later ? Currently I have the Intex External Tuner Card. If another tuner card required, which one should be preferred and cheap. Pinnacle or Tech-Com External Tv Tuner Card.

external TV tuner cards can not record programs.you require an internal TV tuner card.
and if you are buying an internal TV tuner card,try to go for those cards which support pause and rewind functions and are supported by windows media center.i suggest you check out the range from hauppauge.

I have Dazzle Hollywood DV Bridge (ext. device). I can record very easily using composite cables. But I cannot schedule and I have to tune the STB to the channel that I am recording.

There may be an option/software for scheduling but I am too lazy to do any specific search. Also I am not even bothered about such recordings. The only channels/programs that I find worth recording are in Discovery, NatGeo, AP and Fox History - and they repeat the programs anyway.

you can probably use windows media center im not sure about it but i think it should work
