hi recently i purchased a airtel sim.
i want to know that how much speed in KBps do i get and in torrents too?

The speed depends upon mobile...
I get around 26 kBps (kilobytes), & my friend get around 105-110 kBps....

i use nokia 5130 and motoroker z6

ok but sumit told that his friend gets 100KBps. How??

i get a speed typically between 100 at day and 125 at night...

will continue to spam with Nokia later this minute..

Nokia 5130 supports EDGE Class 32 = 296 kbps = 37 kBps
Motorola is slow in this aspect so use Nokia for internet......

It depends on mobile phone modem....

When it is nokia the speed of it was nearby 20kbs......

but in motorola it may be 24kbs.....

use nokia 5310 which speed is little bit higher from other mobiles.......:10::10::10::10::10::10::10:

i used airtel with nokia n95 8gb, the speed is around 100kbps. but with using aircel know with nokia n95 8gb and the speed is better than airtel getting around 256kbps. the download speeds in utorrent with full seeders is around 25kbps.

I use MMX 300G 3g usb modem with airtel gprs activated sim. Airtel EDGE works in my area.
I hardly get 25kB/s with torrent and direct downloads.

Airtel works good with toreents max 500kbps speed you will get...but fill your account upto the core...airtel never offer cheap rates in gprs and empty your account within hours.

Sorry you can get upto 300kpbs when you use bluetooth device with your laptop..many people do not know about blue tooth data transfer range,,there are some bluetooth avail in market which enhance your data sending speed from your Mobile phones to pc. For help bluesoleil.com

Now as 3g is enabled. Any 3g enabled mobile can give you speed of 512 Kbps or more........
