Thread: Shifting to Airtel

I currently own a postpaid Idea number ending with 500003. But they are pathetic. Since more than months, I have been having issues with receiving messages from Airtel, Tata and other operators. The only one that works is between Idea to Idea. I'm sick of it. I called Idea customer care over a month ago with no resolution but saying that since outgoing is fine, it is a problem with Airtel. I was like "Ok.." and pretty annoyed! Then so it happened, the problem is also with Tata. I just didn't know it because I had no friend with Tata. Now that I do, his messages also suffering incoming too.

The long messages (160+ characters) always have text missing. The shorters ones either reach on time, reach after 10 minutes or within 24 hours, or NEVER reach to my Idea phone.

I called them today, a while back, and told them that it's happening with Tata and Airtel both and that apparently, it's not coincidence that two operators are having such a problem. That guy wouldn't register a complaint. I told him my Airtel friend has tried talking to the customer care, he even gave him a new message centre, but still it didn't work. I told him that the problem could be at your end. Airtel did admit there is a problem. This guy won't even understand ****!

I am thinking I'll sell my number off and shift to Airtel Prepaid.
But I want a VIP number. Any idea how much (500003) would be worth in the market and how much I would need to buy a new Airtel VIP number? =/

change your message centre number to +919030155002

its under messages>text settings>message centres>new message centre(dont delete the old one)...

try this and tell me the results..
