I have been using Airtel since 2008.
I am in the North East India circle. I am staying in Nagaland.
Before i was using Airtel with number starting with 96121*****. Things were good.
Then my phone got stolen. I got a new phone,and a new Airtel sim.However this is the "new" sim with some free sms and 1 month validity. Its number starts from 89741*****
Here are the problems--
1) When Dialing from landline to this number, says its an invalid number . Later i noticed 0 has to be pefixed to be able to call this mobile number..
2) I cant send message longer than 1 pages. I can send only 1 page long sms.
3) I cant access Airtel Live. I tried using this SIM on other phones where Airtel Live works but still cannot connect. My phone Sony Ericcson W395 already has Airtel live, Airtel MMS and Mobile Office settings. I requested new settings to 56465 with "LIVE" but no reply.
Suspecting a defect. I bought another Airtel Sim. This too started with 89741*****. And this too has the same problem

On a side note, when i used my 1st new Airtel Sim, i never used to get service message after a call or sms.After i put my new 2nd Airtel Sim,and puttin back my 1st Airtel Sim, i started getting sevice messages. Its so irritating!! Everytime i send message ,my sms tone rings out (its a long sms tone so that adds to frustration)
When i dial 121 i dont get option to speak to customer representative. Just 4 options regardng tunes and offers.
Please help me out
