    Default There's some problem with my new AIRTEL number. Please help me out!!

    Hello guys..
    I've bought a new Airtel sim. But it has got some problem with it.
    It is actually new series of Airtel(WB circle) 8967....
    1. Whenever I tried recharging my cellphone from mobile recharging site(rechargeitnow.com), it says invalid airtel number.
    2. There's some problem with incoming ISD calls. My friends are not able to call me. But outgoings are okay.

    There's 64K written over sim. What is that?? Is that Memory space. What memory of sim card are coming now a days.

    I called customer care guys. They ask me, that your problem is noted. Now wait. And its like around a month now.

    You should change your sim card from Airtel and get a new sim card for the same connection..

    if you have taken a Complaint no. than this will give you free sim card in replacement, or call them again and ask for a complaint no.

    this is possibly a problem from the Airtel exchange, but it could be about anything, better replace it..

    and please try to avoid doing recharges from third party operator websites because sometimes they dont work...

    Thanks for replying buddy. You know changing number is a big headache.
    As I am posted in a rural area, far away from city. May be these problems are because of that.
    And about recharge it now.. I first checked its security certificate, it is same as onlinesbi (i.e veri sign) that's why I started using that. And I got refunded always, if it is not recharged. I am using that site for over 6 months now.

    What is 64k???

    If you have any other Airtel no.s accessible, ask your friends to call in that no. (ISD) and check whether there is any problem with that. I think it is just related to your no. and other connections may work fine. You need either to change your SIM or keep calling customer care.

    btw, what i knew about 64k was that it was previously dealer sim. later when more sim memory was required with enhancement in mobile phones and user needs and technology, these 64 k sim cards replaced the older once..

    about replacement i meant replacing the older sim card on the same number with a new sim card. for this you need to go and meet airtel personally ask their people about what is the solution of your problem, and to get it replaced.. if you have the older complaint number then nothing is better than that, but if you dont have one, call them immedietly and have it, because if they replace, that maybe charged* usually Rs. 200-250/- Rs. per operator... depends..


    it would be always better to save money, isnt it??
