I have been in to Airtel prepaid for more than 10 years. Twice i changed my numbers with the same provider post/prepaids. The present one 9840042904 prepaid, i keep it for more than 7 years. My personal experience is, with Airtel the billing would be fraudulent always. In the beginning i was in prepaid and then went to post paid for their repeated torture over phone, then my my number was 9840042904. I used to get then the unimaginable bill thrice the time than i what i should have used. I fought with the Airtel people and changed again to prepaid, and then the bill reduced considerably. Then one day, even as the prepaid had some fraud billing i cancelled the number. Within few months for want of good signals from Airtel I came again and chosen 9840042904 as my prepaid.
Several times they have taken undue money for some thing or other, i have never opted for. Only because the people used to say Airtel get good network, I have been in to it.
Recently too, on 2.12.2010 night, when i saw my prepaid balance, it was Rs.142.00. In the morning on 3.12.2010 without any reason it was only Rs.56.55. I gave complaint...taken for me almost 2 hours to reach them up at my cost 50np/60sec..and they gave complaint number as CDBCC 31203030859 ON 3.12.2010 at 9.04am.
The story never ended!
The very day evening on 3.12.2010, I recharged again for Rs.120. (Rs.109 TT) At night when i saw my balance it was around Rs.140.00. But in the morning without any reason it was again come down to Rs.60.00.
I got angry and tried to reach cust care but until evening they did not pick up my call seeing my number. By evening i tried with my daughters airtel number and catched them up. When i started to narrate the second day story, she cut the call and again never taken up the number.
MY QUESTION AND AGONY IS,
when there is no parameter to evaluate our billing system parallel from a Govt/neutral body, how come as a customer can prove/disprove our issues to judiciary or any appellate?
See. if a doubt with a vendor for his under weighed rice for 1 kg, i can immediately check with other shop.
Here, the service provider keep one computer and people, that can be manipulated at any time.
When there is no receipt for our money and service received from our side, how come we fight in the court?
The frequent call drops, excess billing, unasked services, fingering loots, careless customer care...etc etc...where can we prove? and How?
Why the govt is not giving standard measure to measure these kind of mobile billings and service from their side?
Even one rupee looting per day from a single person, makes billions of rupees looting from the innocent Indian people. Imagine, how many telephone/mobile providers, how many millions of people...and billions of rupees...in days/weeks/months/and years and years? No one cares and demands for a common govt billing system and service monitoring system for the tele customers of India!!!
