Thread: Airtel SMS Tariff &^ CALL Tariffs

Today i got charged for Rs.1/- per local sms and Rs.1.5 for national sms i am sending sms through my iphone so cant see the character count. Can anyone confirm me is still 160 characters limit for single sms and is the sms rate Rs.1 for local and 1.5 for national sms, also my calling rate has now become 1.2 ps per sec earlier it was Rs.1 per sec.

I got this new airtel card some months ago and i believe that 1 ps per sec is default rate for all service providers is the call centre number free... or paid ?

most operators observe 1st january as black out day,when you have to pay the base tariff for sending sms-es which is Re. 1/local & 1.5/national.the character count remains the same.
regarding your 2nd query,airtel has increased their tariff plan for voice calls.right now it is 1.2p/second.
