    Default Airtel Money

I saw adverts for Airtel money but never actually saw what it was all about, so heres an insight for you all about Airtel money.

Airtel money allows you to tranfer money into the Airtel money account using net banking, debit card or credit card. The money in your Airtel money account can be used to recharge your mobile, someone elses mobile number whether its service provider is Airtel or someone else, recharges for prepaid connection or wireless datacard can also be done . You can also make payments for DTH services of any service provider. Not only this you can also pay off utility bills like water, gas and electricity. You can also use Book my Show and book you movie tickets using Airtel money and other online shopping services.

To register for the Airtel Money service you need to dial *400#

Not a bad service, but for those who are on the move and going out, its the same thing as paying off your bill at the offices. Even your local shop these day has a service to pay your electricity bills and get recharges done for DTH and mobiles. When its transferring money to another mobile phone then this service is quite good and useful.

Airtel is a telecom company and thats the service I like to use. For money we have banks and other financial institutions that would do a lot better job.

Yes its true that banks do a lot better job, but for those who are working and dont have time for banks, then something like the Airtel money is the ideal way to make payments.

Yes they do. All I am saying is that Airtel is not the company I would let handle my money. They provide good mobile phone services and I use them. For money matters there are other companies that specialize and I would like to use them instead of Airtel.

Do other banking apps allow you to pay utility bills, dth recharges etc aswell, or is it just a limitation with banking apps?

I thought that "Airtel Money" is a new scheme by Airtel by which they charge their customer a lot of money giving peanut services in return.

India is a land of many monkeys. What else do you expect from Airtel. You should be thankful they even give you peanuts in return, some companies prefer to keep the peanuts too.

Dont blame you for thinking that Just4kix. I actually thoughtit was their own account where you could transfer money to another airtel account, close but not enough.

Apparently there are some special offers for different types of customers, like you get interest on the money you have in your Airtel money!!!
