    go for Micromax A85, if you can increase your budget a bit. Or you can go for A80 which has been launched recently.

    @panchabhut - Micromax is a Cheap Company...I don't think Micromax's Smartphones will be good....And Everyone will tease me that I have a Chinese Company cellphone.

    Mate I have used Micromax for a long time and trust me its not a bad phone, I liked it till the time I used it. If you need something withing 10K then Samsung Galaxy Y is the best option for you.

    Sure mate you can take Galaxy Y but do mind that this phone will not let you install too many apps as it got only 190MB of internal memory, you have to shift most of the apps to memory card. Otherwise the phone is good and it will never give you any problems.

    I don't know about the quality of this phone and the company but here's a link from flipkart, the specs look quiet impressive and it will fit in your budget also and it also has Android OS, it's Karbonn A 9 1Ghz CPU, Dual Sim, 5 MP Camera, Wi-Fi and 1GB RAM, looks quiet good phone and the price is Rs.9490.

    One major disadvantage of Samsung is the charging factor, If the charge is over then you can recharge it but in less time the charge is over.

    galaxy Y is an extremely underpowered phone with low battery back-up. but then, seems your main requirement of a phone is to show off to your friends, so go ahead.
    if you are willing to go to the grey market, you can get unlocked US Sprint Motorola Exprt (Android 2.2 + touch screen + blackberry type qwerty + 1 Ghz proc + high capacity battery) working on GSM mode for about 8 to 8.5k.

    @smoothvibes - I don't know much about Android but for my simple use (Chatting, Videos, Music, Games) this mobile is doing good....No lags at all, everything works fine.

    I dont like samsung....these phones have lots of complains.
    Samsung has made his mobile cheaper to increase sales but on the other hand, quality is worst.

    u can charge any phone in less time, just increase its amp. Therefore, Samsung phone lack with battery life (company provide higher ams & volts when compared to Nokia) and needs replacement sooner than Nokia & other phones.
    Therefore, it also affect the durability of the circuit and Nokia phones last longer than Samsung.

    @nkthesoulshaker
    If u want more features at lower price brtter go for micromax or samsung (if u like) but if u want durability & reliable phone better go for standard company phones like Nokia, Sony or Blackberry.

    If it goes out of your budget, better wait for some six months it will become more cheaper when new phones launch in the market.
    U can also get some discount on the occasions like Diwali or New Year.
