I use Whatsapp, Skype and Facebook Messenger. Whatsapp is used most so I'm voting for it. I'm already fed up of the non-stop messages from contacts on WhatsApp. Hence, not signed up for WeChat yet. Heard its good though.

I use Whatsapp and Skype, but there was only one option you could choose from so chose Whatsapp, as thats what I use most of the time. I havent used Viber but heard its a good mobile messaging app.

ramitzar did you know that there is there an option when you create a poll, to vote for more than one option.

I use two mobile messaging applications, Facebook messenger and Viber. It used to be three applications which also includes Whatapp, then I realised I had all my friends on Viber and it was better so uninstalled Whatsapp.

I use both Facebook messenger and Whatapp equally, and both are good in their own ways, so don't have a preferable messenger.

Gtalk is no doubt a good messenger, but then you can only talk to those who have a Gmail account, it would be good if Gtalk got converted into something like WhatsApp.

I think Skype is the best in my opinion. I have it on my computer and all of my friends use it. Also sometimes I use snapchat but very rarely. Whatsapp is good but you need to have his phone number and I don't like that. And I hate the notification thingy on Facebook Messenger.

whatsapp is my favorite messaging app of all times; as a matter of fact i can spend a whole month without visiting my facebook profile on phone. so whatsapp takes my vote.

Whatsapp is undoubtedly my favorite one. I think SMS will become a thing of history very soon. Whatsapp is definitely the king with more than 300 million people using it every month. I think its strength is its simplicity and a person with the least technical know-how would be able to use this service to send text, image or voice. Its popularity is on the rise as more and more people install it every day. I got almost all of my friends using Whatsapp and hence it is easy to get in touch with them.

LINE, Viber and Whatsapp. LINE and Viber more as they can also be used from PC/Laptop.

Whatsapp for me aswell. While there are a lot of messaging apps around, I think whatsapp is probably the most reliable and secure of what's on offer.

When you look at the service's it provides compared to some of the others then I don't think it can be beaten, and even though you do have to pay a annual subscription to use it, its still the best out there in my opinion.

Would you care to elaborate and say why you don't think that whatsapp is secure? Have you personally had any issues with the app, know someone who has, or have you read an article about it?

Whatsapp is probably the most used messenger service in the world so I'd doubt it wouldn't be fit for purpose.

Well, I prefer facebook messenger, I think that as time goes on Facebook Messenger will start to dominate over WhatsApp. In whatsapp you use your email contacts, and almost everyone has more the same contacts in their facebook account as the ones they have on their emails, plus more contacts! So I think that Facebook Messenger is more embracing than WhatsApp! :P

Undoubtedly, I would pick Whatsapp over any other messenger. Although, there are so many messengers that offer great features with some great sticker collection (Lets say Hike messenger), but still I would pick Whatsapp just because I'm used to it and it's quite basic and easy to use. So, there's no point for me to pick any other messenger but that's just my opinion.

With the amount of replies I think it's clear that people will pick the app that best suits their own needs. Like I said whatsapp does everything I could want and while I've tried other apps, none have offered me the same user experience so I've always gone back to that.

For others that might not be the case, and you'll stick to what's best for you.
