Default Android Marshmallow - most expected features.

The next big thing that is going to hit the mobile world will be the launch of Android Marshmallow. All Android fans are anxious to know about the new features of the upcoming version. Let's see what are the most expected ones :

    1) Fingerprint support - As Android has been in news these days due to various vulnerability factors, Android is focusing more on its security in the new version. They are making it a standard feature for all Android phones. Fingerprint scanning will be required to unlock your phone, make payments and login to various applications.
2)Case by case application permissions - The new Android version will make it possible to give case by case permission for various applications. So you are free to choose which one to give permission. It is one of the good security features.
3)Doze - As Android phones are experiencing sudden battery draining, they are coming up with a new application called Doze. It can increase the battery life by 30%. It monitors the system and pause all applications in idle mode.
4)Easy cut, copy and paste - There would be direct options available in the screen for cut, copy and post. No more hassles to find and decipher the buttons.

Hopefully, the version update will turn out to be the best. Released date is said to be on October 5 and a lot of people are talking about the improvements on Android M. The update obviously focuses on the security which is the most expected. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is running on Nexus 6P (Nexus Huawei and Nexus LG) and Pixel C. Luckily, there's a possible upgrade for mobile users owning Nexus 5, 6, 7, 9. An upgrade also to Lollipop versions devices is approved, unfortunately KitKat and lower version didn't make it to run Android M.

Android upgrades in the past have always advanced the platform so I expect this to do the same also.

While some of the features that have been announced might not be the most exciting, I think the fact Android M us a whole new OS rather than an update will make a big difference to most users.

It is a real relief that the new Marshmallow is giving more focus on security features which is one of weakest links of Android OS. I think they were supposed to launch this quite early when there are news of new threats to Android almost every other day. Everyday new bugs are coming up to attack Android OS.

The new emphasize on security with fingerprint scan can go a long way in dealing hackers till they come up with a new method to break in.
