Samsung has announced to launch a new colour variant of the recently launched, galaxy Note 5.

The phone looks really good in pink, and it's basically announced to target female public. Specification wise, the galaxy Note 5 will pack same features as the previous one, the price will remain same too.

While the device us still impressive I would imagine that the colour scheme is only aimed at certain people, and I for one wouldn't really fancy a pink smartphone.

I'd certainly get some funny looks off my friends if I pulled that out anyway!

@pwarbi Haha even my friends would make fun of me if I buy this one. As I have already mentioned, this colour will be launched to target females and, I think this colour is going to attract most of them.
And not only you, even I won't choose to go with any such girl-ish colour for my personal use.

I think it is not completely right that all girls are fan of pink color. There are girls who like other colors too and if you take girls who like pink color there will be only a small portion of them. Just because the phones are in pink, it doesn't mean that it is going to be popular among girls. If they are so compassionate towards girls, they should have included some apps which are helpful to girls particularly.

In short, I don't think a pink phone is going to make any visible change in the market.

It might not make any visible change, but it will attract the female customers and perhaps draw them away from their pink iPhones? I'd imagine the main purpose of releasing phones in various colours is to attract specific markets, rather than to boost overall sales, but it will help
