    Thumbs up Diamond Studded Apple iPhone 3G costs:12 crore only.

    the most expensive iPhone 3G, 'Kings Button', has been designed by the Austrian jeweller Peter Aloisson and comes at an insane price of Rs.12 crore!

    It is made of solid 18 carat yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold, with a line of white gold encrusted with a total of 138 diamonds on the edges. However, what steals the show is the 'home' button, which is a 'rare' 6.6 carat diamond.

    This beauty is sure a style statement, but would be restricted just to the filthy rich amongst you.

    even if i was filthy filthy rich i wouldn't buy it, whats the point! You might as well use the diamonds to make yourself a nice bracelet or something!

    why? why would you call them that? If they have enough money
    to splurge on that item, who are we to judge them as money wasters.
    It is all a relative thing. Plus they probably already have a few of the
    bracelets you mention, so why buy one more, this is a unique thing
    and might give you the bragging rights.

    What phone do you use? Maybe someone out there would
    opine that your phone is a waste of money and you can make
    phone calls equally well with a cheaper phone ;-)

    -F

    p.s I personally won't buy that phone even if I had that kind of money.

    Well its a free world, that's why i call them money wasters! Well that's the difference you see, there's people who have money and know how to spend it then there's people who have money and don't know how to spend it!

    Guys, you are missing the point. Let's take Bill Gates.
    He's worth say $50 billion. He already has donated over
    a billion dollars to charity. Let's say he wants this phone
    which is a couple of million I don't think it is a waste for him.

    If you have the money, self indulgence is not a sin. That and
    charity are not mutually exclusive.

    Life expectancy in India is 63 ... so 63 times 7 life times is 441 years in total

    120000000 / 441 = Rs 272108 per year and thats without interest..

    Thats Rs 22675 per month without any interest and as we all know getting a loan and that too for such a long tenure is not possible in my opinion.

    If w add up the interest its going to be a few lakh rupees every month...

    Any maths students here? how much would it be if the loan was at 14% interest?

    Excel refuses to calculate it accurately. The answer it gave me was Rs. 16,800,000/- per year. or Rs. 1,400,000/- per month. (yes, 14 lakhs per month).

    The formula is

    = Pmt(rate, period, principal value, 0, 0)

    rate = 14%
    period = 441 years
    Pv = 120,000,000

    And remember that the calculation is not accurate. It is just an approximation.
