The last iPhone I saw, did not have the function to forward an SMS (a facilty required by 99% of Indian mobile users).

As per sales figures reported by both Airtel and Vodaphone (sorry can not divulge the source), the iPhone had been a resounding failure in the Indian market.

yes thats correct, iPhone is a failure in Indian market.

Reason : Most of the Indian people are middle classed and cant afford to have it, some people even who can afford it will think of its features, some more people who are willing to buy it will compare it with other costly phones and find them having more features at a lesser price... and now the left one's who find it very difficult or dont know how to spend money will buy it...!

I was lost on the streets of New Delhi and my first generation iPhone (the one that doesn’t even have GPS) brought me home without my having to go around asking people which way to go. There is no other phone in the world that could have done that.

As for the suggestion that people who buy iPhones are stupid and don’t know what to do with their money, well, as someone who spent only Rs. 27,000 on his unlocked 16GB iPhone and has since earned more than Rs. 50,000 off it, I think I wouldn’t be able to retain my polite tone if I were to counter that sentiment, so I’ll just shut up now.

The maps application (gps) on the phone is one of the many advantages, along many other such as the wide range of other applications which you can download whether its something religious, games or something else, its pretty impressive!

i think APPLE is best for MAC only not for iPOD and not for iPhone also....

Moreover sms forwarding and saving files while browsing is still an issue with iPhone....

I have ended up selling my iphone, i didn't like it at all. Well it was ok, bu there was no good advantages, bluetooth was ok but the the downside was that you cant transfer files using connectivity with other phones! I didn't like the sms system either!

how much old it was? 2g or 3g? how much u got money back by selling?

and bluetooth app u have to install than it works just like other phones.. no problem with it.

my one is for 79USD when i got this but at the same time online price was 100USD but my brother got this by a good deal.........

internal memory is 1GIG but 2GIG is also available in few more $$$ but not that much......

an iphone is a handy device for music but considering its price I would recommend not to go for it.

guys just post a positive point of iPhone and i'll tell you them more in HTC phones......dont ask for storage size coz 8-16-32 GB are too much and also for Brand name(APPLE) coz u cant use that brand to call someone or to play games.........and one more that it have dual touch sensitivity.........

personally the iphone has lost its cool factor for me since a lot of my
friends and coworkers have the iphone.
I am a gadget freak, but only when the gadget is not owned
by every Tom, Dick and Hariharan.

i think Iphone has no job in India...

I believe you should get one from US and get it jailbreaked here... you can easily get it done at gaffar for anywhere btw 600-1000 bucks
