    Default iPhone has it all

Through iPhone you can view YouTube videos. iPhone also supports Microsoft Office documents and imaging formats like .TIFF, .JPEG and .GIF. iPhone enjoys a partnership with Yahoo which allows users to send and receive HTML email. Yu can use other POP3 e-mail services as well. With the help of the integrated browser you can also access your web mails. iPhones are loaded with communications software and media management software. iPhone have a lithium-ion battery that support eight hours of talk and video and almost twenty hours of music. iPhones use GSM and SIM cards for cellular networks access.

All these is also possible with any smartphone such as HTC.

iPhone's greatest strength are its applications. But most of these applications are useless in India.

I have used GPS extensively while in US and UK. The first time it feels great. Afterwards the novelty wears off. But it is a great boon no doubt.

The problem with India is that the houses are not clearly identified and many slip roads have no navigational information. House numbers are haphazard and new house numbers keep cropping up when a property is divided. In the west, house numbers are clearly marked with odd numbers on one side and even numbers on the other side. If there is a large gap in between propeties, the house numbers are left with a gap.

Also our post code is very rudimentary. All it does is identify the post office. Not so in the west.

For example, the post code in UK is one of the best in the world. In the GPS device, you need not enter the full address. Just enter the post code and the device will navigate the driver to the correct address within two blocks.

i think Postal codes in India need to more extensive...

but about houses, i think Indian "jungle of concrete" wont be helpful, always for the gps...

it took me around 2 hours to find my home in the wikimapia, when my bro sent me an email describing the miracle of wikimapia.. our house planning(and not just house planning, Govt, Buildings, roadways) needs elementary working. which i think is not possible now.. so we can just hope of some more thorough application...

iPhone has it all but so does other mobile company. Those features can also be found with in BB and other mobile phone. Features that are also common in other phones. I think what should looked is those features compatibility.

even though iphone (d model you get from market without apps) lacks in the features... but then they can be added through apps (that was the revenue model of apple).. But they have taken a giant leap in their most important feature... THE TOUCH SCREEN.. i have used htc and nokia touch screens but they are no where near Iphone's touch
