Thread: suggest me about buying IPHONE 4G PHONE?ITS URGENT

HI ALL
,
one of my friend is coming from USA next month...he is going to bring 4g iphone for me ..i heard that iphone 4g is locked for indian users.
If i buy i get unlocked verison directly from there it works correctly r not?.suggest me which version of iphone 4g i have to get it from ther inorder to unlock it here..?
pls help me..which one is best BLACKBERRY OR IPHONE 4G?
I HAVE ONE MORE DOUBT WHICH IS BEST BLACKBERRY OR IPHONE 4G..?
suggest me best model in blackberry 3g and the price range is 15000

Locked iPhone 4G from USA can be unlocked in India easily, but the problem starts here. If you want the Apps from Official iTunes directly and OS updates then its a bit of problem as after unlocking if you get updates from iTunes your device will get locked.
The other way around is getting Cydia App installed on iPhone and it will help you install OS updates and other Apps without getting your phone locked. Search for it on google. Its better if you get manufacturer unlocked iPhone. They are available in India for around Rs.32000 for 16gb version.

Blackberry and iPhone are totally 2 different things. Blackberry are known for their bbm and enterprise emails and qwerty keyboards. The one thing i hate about blackberry is for every online thing you need a 300/month blackberry internet plan as all updates and apps can only be installed through blackberry internet plan only. Only browsing is supported by normal plans. Go for blackberry only if you intend to use its bbm and mailing capabilities.

I personnaly use a iPod touch 3rd generation ( features same as in iPhone except calling) so i prefer Apple IOS far better than blackberry. as for budget of Rs15000. You can get Curve 3g 9300 below 14000.

Its "iphone 4" not "iphone 4G"

Iphones and blackberrys are very different phones and you need to see what you need the phone for instead of us lot deciding whats best for you.
Iphones are very delicate and people tend to break them very often where as a blackberry can take a lot more falls as compared to an Iphone be it 3 or 4.
If you do get an Iphone 4 then ask your friend to get you a nice cover as well because you wont get them in India yet.

Blackberry's USP is email while iPhone's USP are its applications. If fun, entertainment, trendy apps, coolness is important to you, go for iPhone. Blackberry is suited for the executive on the go where keeping in touch is most important. But iPhone can do decent emailing too. However, I found using the touchscreen for typing a little cumbersome.

I personally find typing on an Iphone a lot more easier then the Nokia E71 I was using earlier. For browsing the net there is nothing better then an Iphone because of the interaction you can have with the page by touching and zooming in and all that and clicking on the links by just tapping on the screen instead of having to move the cursor by repeatedly clicking on the buttons.. I also use the google maps application from time to time and Iphone's touch screen comes in handy when you want to check out the surrounding areas or zoom in or zoom out... its just so much convenient being able to do everything on the screen itself.

Iphone is pretty bulky and you would damage the screen pretty quick if you start carrying it in your back pocket.. You will need to carry it in your hand where as you can slip your blackberry into any pocket you want.

My Bad its iPhone 4 and not iPhone 4G. ( In habit of iPod Touch, they use G as for generation)

The Only thing missing in iPhone is Flash player in Safari browser, but now days most of the major websites are built to be viewed easily on safari browser. and for youtube there already a APP
