Well i did the firmware upgrade and reinstall also ...but it just vanishes from the installed app list ...it actually is there on the HDD.....i mean the memory.
I tried SSH into the iPhone got to view where it is located ...but i wonder should i delete it directly?
Will it work?

I mean we can uninstall apps directly by deleting their folders with all the files ..but apache being a server must be having many traces ...so how can i find those?

I think deleting all the fles would do the trick... there wont be anything left of apache then.

I still cant stop thinking... why would some one install apache in an iphone..

This idea did come to my mind I thought if we can manage to get a 10-15mbps connection on an iphone then I can host www.indiabroadband.net in my pocket provided the connection stays stable... can even havea live podcast from where ever I go .. ha ha ha..

Well actually i had the same thing in mind .....and was waiting when in india these people will provide a good datarate plan.
But it seems they dont care for internet at hand concept.
The existing rates are sky high.

I tried installing apache and then even hosted a site on it i mean locally.Just to try .It worked superb with only drawback i had used flash in the website and the SAFARI on iPhone does not support Flash yet.
Hope to see improvements.

Well i guess you would get it near to 25k in the Mumbai Market.
I would not suggest you to go for those pieces.Because there is also one iphone from China which looks exactly as what the original Apple iPhone is and has more advance features than iPhone of Apple. But there is no guarantee that it will run.It may run when you purchase but cant say of its future or even the next day.
If you want to find out which is genuine and which is China Make then while asking for an iPhone you should ask that does this one have Dual Sim feature. And if it does then its china make ...else its original.
