Thread: Problem with BIGTV STB Software

Hi Friends,
I'm Using Big TV. All The issue with channels and service My Problem is different? All Big TV users know abt Mini menu? When I change channel sometimes the list will stuck there? But channel wont stuck(But u cant change channels).If we try with channel key on remote same will happen?Please Help abt this? Also when we press menu buttton on the remote it will take time to Diplay the menu on Screen?

Same problem here . But now its not very frequent like a month back. All the customer care has to say is STB Software will be updated automatically and it will not happen again.
You can do one thing register a complaint with and see what they have to say.

Here i would like to update you people that it will never automatically update you have to do it manually which is a piece of cake just go to STB settings and select manual update............. and see whether it helps or not and indeed the processor of the STB sucks big time

Channels are fine but STB works like 56Kbps bsnl dial-up connection:hammer:

I must say that the quality of Airtel Digital TV STB is oustanding...

m plannin to switch to DTH , BIG tv supposedly has a lot of probs wid its STBs to i think i shld rule it out of the available options.. hmm..

Hi everybody, I too bought a new receiver from Big Tv and was having the same problem of the receiver hanging and had to put off the power and restart every now and then. Was getting irritated. I tried to update the software but after updating, there was no difference. Then I reset the receiver to factory mode and did not update the software. Now it is working well and does not hang and no problem even after changing many channels. Hope this helps incase somebody wants to try. Joseph
