Thread: Reliance BIG tv- Review

Hello everyone, after a long time i am posting here anyways getting on the topic

The Subscription Packs

Pack 1

Cost:Rs 1,990/-
for one year subscription with 149 channels but in this pack you will not get star sports, ESPN and one more i forgot:surrender:

Pack 2

Cost: Rs 2190/-
for one year subscription and you will get all the channels including all the sports channel

NOTE: If you are going to subscribe to pack 1 and you are thinking that you will pay by credit or debit card then you will need to pay rs 1490/- and rs 500 by cash so total rs 1,990/- the same applies to pack 2

And one more thing there are no charges for the Installation if the workman asks then............ you know how to deal them!!

The Set-Top-Box(STB)-

The STB is in my opinion is very good, compact and is equipped with a good user friendly software which is very easy to use while surfing. It also sports component ports which gives you more superior quality if you have composite cables and your TV supports component function.

pros- Good, compact and sports component ports to give you more superior quality

cons- slow processor

The Remote

Its also good but i would not say perfect (like dishTV in my opinion), its bulky like TATA sky and specially the most sickiest thing is that the guide button hinders with the down arrow button which gets very annoying but not that much like in TATA sky

Pros- light, compact and good plastic quality

Cons- bulky, guide button interfers with the down arrow button while using the remote

I will keep adding more stuff and pictures and i will prepare a good guide to my blog

@player, welcome back after a long time.

Just a small correction - the BigTV STB has component out (Y-Pb-Pr or Y-Cb-Cr) which is better that the composite out (Y-W-R), which is also provided.

ooooops thank you for correcting me i have corrected this in my post and one thing more i dont know much abt these thinga component and composite can you clear my doubts and one more thing

What about the service imparted by them ... in India broad band itself there are so many user who have posted so many negative reviews saying BIG TV's customer care and service is worst .... what is ur take on it...... And as far as i know in Pune that pack of 2190/- is completely gone if one wants to view sports channel for free for 1 yrs he has to pay 4990/- thats it. Only two plans are available in Pune i.e 3990/- and 4990/-. Plz note : i am only talking about 1 yr subcription packs.

hey man that news which you are telling is totally new well atleast for me and as far as i know service given by them is very good by them as i got my connection the very next day, it totally depends on your locality where are you living and what's your state

well it looks like i am the only one who is having a good experience with them well atleast for now

hey guys i have some doubt please clarify them thank u. ne television means what? whether it contains both neo sports and neo cricket channels. whether ndtv profit available?

yes the channels which you mentioned are available and i am able to see them loud and clear well atleast in south pack dont know abt rest of the states

Not only u me too have good experience with Big Tv since the Purchase i never had any problem...

customer care is also good, i got the connection next day after applying

never go for BIG tv... u ll b fed up of blady hell of customer service provided... coz i have sufferd a lot and still prob is not rectified... i called customr care more than 10 times for same prob.. simply they r assuring... my TV is switched off since last one month coz of it.. nw im thinking to go for tatasky or some other...ill forget 2k for blady BIG Tv.
if any one wants go for BIG TV, u will be sucked ......
