Thread: Big TV, my opinion..

Last week i had a tiff with my cable service provider regarding regular disconnection of Zee cinema and Star gold. Finally I kicked my cable connection and decided to go for some DTH subscription.

It’s a painful job to choose the one from a large number of dth providers. i.e. Sun dth, dish tv, big tv, tata sky and airtel digital tv. As it’s a one time subscription I have done lot of research on it. One of my friend who recently subscribe for Big tv, advised me to go for Big Tv. But I have seen lots of negative feedback and reviews online so I have little disappointment for Big tv.

Also I have gone through a survey of Dish tv and found that its not offering good package rates, same with tata sky. And after all research and opinion I have decided to go for Big tv dth. Major points that drive me towards Big tv is it has first Mpeg 4 technology and more number of channels in dth market, big tv has improved its service i.e. regarding installation also it is coming with DVR in next month. And finally choice of different and affordable channel packages.

So I have finally decided to buy Big TV DTH connection for my family with its MAX plan for 12 months. And I also hope that COLORS will added soon in big tv.

You have made a right Choice in terms of Service quality. But dont think that ColorTv will be aired soon.

i've been doing the study of all DTH service providers,since m plannin to get one and of wat i hear Big has quite a few issues startin frm STB heatin up, restartin , bad CC service. are u guys facing those prbs?

At my place my Tv runs in the morning at 8 and runs continuously for 3 hours and in the evening from till 11 and i dont face any heating problem and it hasn't restarted on its own from last 3 months. I think there must be some problem with your STB.

And regarding CC i faced no problem as i didn't needed to call them till yet. The only problem is with ColorTv and Selection of Audio Languages in Channels(Which BigTv hasn't yet started)

My STB has been non-functional since 21st Nov, complaint no. 80917226 in the name of heemanshu sinha (you can simply call up their helpline with this reference and ask what happened to my complained).. till date nothing has been done on this..that is abysmally low level of customer service.. do check yourself before going for this connection.. I have provided details so that you can verify yourself..

Beware dude, this is one of the reliance product. you may be victim of their worst customer care.
