    Default Software Update of STB

    Today Morning when i switched on the STB it said new software update available and i continued.

    Previously when you pressed Home button on remote a screen with 3 Options of Select, Guide and settings came, but now the interface has changed with more options there. And My Account and iCare has been added (but says coming soon) in the channel list a Top Ten list is added above cinema.

    The set box said new channels found but i didn't know which new channels are found. The colors still missing and still no audio language (Hindi)option for discovery and cartoon network and some other channels. It still says only English is available and set as default and when i called Reliance cutomer care they said the procedure how to set and i said its not happening and ur system says only english is available, and they have no answe to this.

    you know guys, i just inquired about big tv DTH in a near by shop, do you know what he said,

    "buy it on your own risk", because the customers complain and quarrel with him frequently due to the poor service and hidden conditions( some channel vanish after one month).

    So please avoid Big TV DTH until their service get better.

    My software also updated yesterday and menu has changed. It's nice now.

    ...but Hindi option is there man even before any update..

    Go to Home > Settings > TV Display > Preferred Audio

    and change it to Hindi. If it says only English is available then it must be a problem with your STB.

    Default vey bad experience

    Hello Guys

    Please Help me guys

    I bucked with the Reliance Big TV DTH service and very Very bad experience from Customer care centre. i

    took the Big TV with lots of hopes but Big Tv disappointed me with their service / customer care centre

    15 days back installed the BigTV at my place stil from day one the setup box have some problem first i

    contacted my dealer tht i have problem he told it take some time 48 hours to set all process. i waited upto

    one week after that i given complaint on 13th december saying that.

    I have a problem whenever i change the channel or press the menu button it take some time to change and

    some time it will hang. Big TV execute said that our technician visit to ur place with in 48 hours i after 48

    hours i called to customer care they are saying tht problem resolved compaint has been closed where i not

    got a call from the technicain nor he visted my place to check the same process repeats till 18th december for

    all compalints on 19 th december i had bad experience from Big TV customer executive i said Big tV serivce

    is not upto the mark he told me that then why u went for Big TV u have lot of options u might u have

    choosen another service. i asked him this is the not the way to speak with customer in thsi way he said like

    if u talk like that we also talk like this.


    On 20th december again i called the customer to know the status this time they started a new story that my

    Pin code is worng that why tehy are unable to laocte my place where as when ever i give a complaint every

    time they use to confirm my mobile number and address with pin code. as requested they updated the

    pincode also he asked me to wait upto 24 hours means 21 december 2008 upto 4 p.m. let me see that they

    do. again if i calle them what they give me the answer.

    This time very bad experince with customer executive I request to Big TV higher supervisores/higher

    officials teach to your employees how to speak with customers to talk in proper manner and professional

    manner.

    the same i e-malied to info@bigtv.co.in, customercare@bigtv.co.in lot of times i never received a single

    e-mail nor any phone call.

    I disapponted and fustratted with Bigtv. after having very bad experince i releaised tht unnecessary i

    choosed the Big TV DTH.

    Please let me know guys tht one point to whom i have to contact for this issue. fro an immedeate action.

    hey just take us stb to the dealer shop and get replaced it just dont replace ur smart card only ur box

    I know how to change the language, but i think you dont know till yet Only English is default audio language on BigTv and set as default. Ask customer care or check on your bigtv customer care channel there you will see under tv display tha Audio langauage only English is currently available and set as default.

    what do you mean by only english is currently available??

    In my STB there are both English and Hindi option available. English is default audio but you can change it to hindi.
    Home > Settings > TV Display > Preferred Audio

    I watch Discovery and National geographic channels in Hindi.

    Sorry for saying without knowing 2 days back i called reliance and yesterday a engineer came to my premises. Their was saome problem with my STB he was doing some technical changes in it which i dont know. After that i was able to change the language to hindi.
    And i thought BigTv has not activted the Hindi language till yet
