Buy any TV tuner card. Feed the RF-out from STB to RF-In of card. Or better still use composite RCA cable to connect AV signals (I think that most TV tuner cards do not have a component input).

The point to be noted is that you can change channels from the STB only.

Why anyone would like to watch TV on PC is beyond me.

    Record programs on computer? How?

If one uses WinAVI, it will capture in raw Windows AVI format (5 min video = 1 GB). There are no softwares that are powerful enough to capture video in real time, convert it to MPEG and save it to disk, all at once.

The ordinary TV tuner card can only displat the video on screen and send the sound to speakers. One can buy a hardware capture card that can achieve live recording but it is quite costly. One is better advised to opt for TataSky+ instead.
