Thread: BIG or AIRTEL.?...which is better....

hello....frns...i am planing to buy new DTH service for my home...i was just bought BIG tv but than read an article in magazine named LIVING DIGITAL which said that Airtel best and Fastest DTH Instrument, on contrary most of ppl in this forum has other opinion.....infact most of all even have not so good opinion for BIG as far as DTH instrument is concern... i would have bought TATA sky if it was as cheap as Airtel/BIG...but now help me choose between two...AIRTEL or BIG?...

its way better than airtel, picture quality and sound is better than airtel.

Go for AIRTEL. I'm a BIG tv customer and am not satisfied with their services. Surely there are others too.

if there are only 2 options then airtel is better one

Airtel is better

Big tv is better in terms of pic quality and sound, but it sucks when it comes to customer service.

My feeling is, if you are looking at only Airtel or BigTV, then Airtel maybe better. But I will advise that you visit a known dealer and check the feedback.

Airtel is fairly new. Also they came after BigTV after BigTV captured a lot of market. Hence they do not have too many connections. Check these threads:

If you are game, go for tried and tested TataSky or DishTV.

Hmm. Why shout? Everybody can read.

Whatever you choose don't take DISHTV. It maybe cheap but you can not enjoy most of the channel due to poor (pixel) quality. Any channel with fast movement is really bad (Sports, music, Movie). I have one with Maxi 1 year. Thank God this month is the last month. I'll probably take BIGTV. It got Component out (probably for the future HDTV broadcast) and also it is with mpeg4, which is better than mpeg 2.

FYI. I'm from Bangladesh. Also I'm in the video and computer business.I don't know about the customer care (I installed the dish myself) but last 1 year I never lost Signal from DISHTV even for a day.
