    Angry Big TV has the worst customer service

    Reliance Big TV has one of the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. The 1-800 call center no does not work, the installation did not happen even after 6 days of buying the STB and despite me calling the Bombay call center no (022-30338888) mutltiple times on multiple days, the cal center guys are totally inexperienced and just do not have answers to the problem. I recommend people to not buy Big TV. My complaint no is 75103862

    Yes big tv doesnot meets the expectation of their prospect customers as every body is expecting a more economical product from bigtv but it is too costly like TATA Sky. i think dishtv is best in terms of value for money and for their pricing and packaging.

    With any new launch there are always "teething problems" - so you need to give time to BigTV to sort out the issues (max two months). Only then we should comment whether they have good service or bad service.

    Since they have just launched they would have been flooded with tons of calls and inquiries. Not all calls will result into a sale (my guess is 50 calls = 1 sale). So BigTV cannot have a huge salesforce to cope up. After a couple of months the calls will taper off and then they will be able to optimize their force.

    Then why is relance wimax service still not improved?
    I think it has been long time they launched Reliance wimax

    Actually Reliance never cared about the customer service like Airtel does

    I am not saying reliance is a good or bad company... but Reliance wimax has still not been launched.. they are running trials and havent even been allocated the spectrum they are using.

    In other words both Tata and Reliance are running this illegally... can be challanged in court.

    Reliance has not been granted permission to run wimax trials in Gurgaon but they are still providing connections there and I know atleast 3 companies who use reliance wimax connection as a backup in case their main connection goes down.

    So there is a lot of stuff moving under the table I guess... and genuine and honest people have been kept out of this business just because some ministers and government officials had vested interests...

    @gardencityboy, I am not saying BigTV is good (or bad). All I am saying that give them time. With all the "Relaince" background, I do not expect it to be better. But let us give the dog his day first.

    Reliance with its true colors shown... nothing else... just dint expect people to be frustrated so soon ...
    we have our symapathies with u thread starter... but this is just reliance. u can't do anything about it... although u cud have- by not going in for big tv.

    Hi Friends,

    I also called big TV for more than 30 times for the installation (bangalore). The people came after 3 days and told like they usually comes if there are more than 2 to 3 dish to be installed. This shows how much they care for the customer. But the qulaity of the CHanel is amzing, I love that....

    Question Worst service

    i do agree with you. i also purchased a STB on 5th Sept., on the promise that installation will take place in 72 hours. But even after calling the Mumbai centre through toll free or STD No. nothing concrete has come up. I dont know how they would be able to control installations all over the country. If this is the fate of a person living in Chennai, how would their service be in interior cities and centres of different states. I agree that the frontline staff are not experienced enough to handle the situation. Big TV should have established local offices for customer care and installation before the launch of the Service. In spite of repeatedly asking for a local contact number, they could not provide any. Even when I wanted to contact a person at a higher level, they are not able to provide a contact number. They say that they have registered my complaint. When installation of the dish is their duty, they expect people to register complaints! How are they going to compensate for the delay in installation. The Best Digital Service in India, as they advertise, has the Worst Customer Service!!

    Default "Reliance BIG TV" Worst Service

    Hi Readers,

    I just wanted to share my worst experience with "Reliance BIG TV" DTH Service.
    First of all I request everybody not to purchase "Reliance BIG TV" connection.

    Well, to start with I have taken BIG TV "Set Top Box" on 31/Aug/2008 "Invoice No. 0101038073" from one of the Main Web World, Mehdipatnam Branch (Hyderabad).
    I think initially as a company while selling the product, web world person has to inform me about all the future requirements from my side, but they have not given any kind of information.
    Actually, one Work Order ID is required in order to have installation for BIG TV, that we can get after calling customer care of BIG TV.
    But because they have not informed me that I hvae to call Customre care, it was delayed for 2 days, and by chance I called c.care for some other reason on 02/Sep/2008 and got my work order ID.
    Even after having my work order ID, I have not recieved any call from the Installation team for Installation, I raised complaint for the same also for so many times, but none of any use.

    Almost everyday for more than 1.5 hours I was calling c.care for any kind of solution and spoke to around more than 12 c.care representatives, to name some of them are :- Sheetal, Usha, Bhaven, Ganesh, Priya and so on and escalated the same issue to some of the senior members as well they are:- Rahul and Bhuvneshwari.
    Everybody was saying the same thing repeatedly "we are sorry for the inconvinience caused, it will be done asap......etc.....".

    Till today, i.e. 12/SEP/2008 more than 12 days after purcahse of STB, I am still waiting for the installation.....??? and still have no update....

    One more intersting thing, I called c.care to ask "is it possible to return the STB because of bad services", the representative straight forward answered "just go to the web world and return back the STB, they will refund the money", they people are not even concerned about the problem and reason why I asked to return it back.

    Finally, I request everybody again PLZ PLZ PLZ never go for "Reliance BIG TV", only name is BIG, everything else is small.
