Rep Power: 0 | BIG TV customer service is hopeless. If you are looking to purchase BIG TV DTH then please read about my experience.... I have purchased BIG TV on 1-SEP and since i have been calling the BIG TV Customer service every day. I am listing the most common answers that they give. ( Apart from waiting for in the que over the phone and also waiting while the customer service representative retrieve the customers data..for over 15 minutes ). TILL NOW INSTALLATION IS NOT DONE. > We are very sorry sir....It will be done asap > Sorry Sir..Installation will be done in 48 hours. > Sorry Sir ..Installation guy will call you in 2 hrs > Sorry Sir ..Installation will be done with in 24 hrs ..................i am tired and sick of it...So i am here to write about and let you know that ..Please you dont do the same mistake again.. Rep Power: 7 | I would have though that a big company like Big TV (under the name of Reliance) would be really good and have one of the best customer services. But looks like its not good to judge anything even if it means the service is from a big company. Cancel your order and get your money back! |

Rep Power: 0 | I am one of those unlucky people who opted for BIG TV and are now paying the price. The purchase of the STB was done on 31st Aug and installation on 5th Sep. The technician took all my forms after installation saying that the channels will start coming from the next day. And that is when my problems started. Till date (Sep 20th), I'm not getting a single channel. I must have called their Mumbai number (STD call) some 20 times. Chennai local number some 50 times. If you still want to go for BIG TV, here are some tips: 1. Do not call the customer service number duing normal working hours. They either are overworked or understaffed. Wait time is not less than 10 / 15 mins. Call them early in the morning (before 8 AM). 2. If a technician comes to your home, note down his name and mobile numbers. This is VERY IMPORTANT as their office does not know which technician is assigned to what customer. 3. Take a photocopy of the application form that comes with the STB I dont know if it is so bad in Chennai alone or in other cities as well. |

Rep Power: 2 | Thanks for sharing your experience. I am not much shocked to read the comment that a Reliance product is not good in customer care support. I have experienced it with Reliance mobile phones. Anyhow, this issue is for the past two weeks? Thats too bad. Sorry for you. |

Rep Power: 0 | My issue is finally resolved. Fed up with the problems faced for 2 weeks, I took the STB back to the reailer and asked for full refund. There was another unhappy customer with similar problem who was already shouting at the retailer. The local BIG TV guys were then called and my issue got resolved. I can now see all the channels. Infact, I now get all the channels offered by BIG TV, not just the South Pack The sound quality is definitely good. Will take time to get used to the remote control and other features. |
