Thread: Features?

Do you own a blackberry phone? What features that you think that bb phone is different from the others ..? I ask this because I am planning to buy one and need some more info regarding this ...

Blackberry is primarily aimed at the business user from the corporate world. It's greatest selling point is email integration with MS-Exchange or IBM Lotus Notes servers. As soon as a mail arrives in your inbox, it is automatically pushed to the BB device. This feature is known as push mail. It also synchronizes with the meetings, address book, tasks, notes, etc.

To achieve this, the following are needed:

a) A BB device
b) A data plan with the mobile service provider
c) Email integration at your office's email system (Exchange or Lotus Notes)

But now a days, many smartphones running Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher as well as high featured phones offer the same service.

Other than that Blackberry is no different than a high-end mobile phone - give some/take some.

^^ many smart phones have same/more features than a blackberry, but because it has a qwerty keypad thats comfortable...
other point is its servers are located in Canada, but i dont know whats the security view in this, but whatever, blackberry still has a large user base and which is extremely loyal to it..
