Qwerty keyboard back with Blackberry mobile phone

QWERTY keypad is more like a thing of the past but not for Blackberry, and the new launch Q20 from Blackberry is with a QWERTY keypad. There is no exact date for the launch but it is to be sometime time in 2015.

Some of the specifications of the Q20 are:

3.46 display screen
1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon processor
2GB RAM
Internal memory is 16GB which can be expanded to 128GB
Camera specifications are not certain but the Q20 is supposed to have a 8 mega pixel rear camera and 2 mega pixel front camera

For some reason it seems certain that the Blackberry Q20 is not going to do that well, first of all it is a Blackberry which are not doing particularly well in the market an second in the time of touch screen phones they have a launched a QWERTY keypad phone.

I can already tell this is going to be a big flop. Why don't Blackberry just stick to the trend of touch screens, it would be much better if they had touch screen phones as they would be more popular and look better too.

There is a market for qwerty keypad phones coupled with touch screens but not many people like the idea including myself. Blackberry has started selling again after a long time and they must have researched the market pretty well before coming up with this qwerty phone. Cannot be a total flop because if it is then this would be the end of Blackberry.

I think mostly business people use the QWERTY mobile phones and it sells well for them, other than that Blackberry doesnt have much of a sales market.

it used to be the best buy for business people few years ago but now Android has occupied all that market.

I am still searching for a quality Android Phone with touch+physical qwerty. Used to have a Moto Xprt and its was the best phone I have used.

I think there are very few infact two or three phones which have both features of a qwerty and touchpad keypad.

Just out of curiosity why the qwerty keypad?

I don't use a qwerty keyboard phone neither like it, but I think many prefer it because it is convenient to use than the touch screen or simply it is something which one is used to.
