Yes, here in Brazil is hard to find a blackberry user. In the past, Blackberry had a similar status as Apple has today.

BlackBerry was very popular here especially among coporate employees. High professionals used to carry the updated versions with great pride. But nowadays it is very difficult to find one. I think the market is completely dominated by Android smartphones. I haven't seen any iPhones too, it is Android devices everywhere.

BlackBerry was in the news recently where management clearly stated that the company is facing huge loses and as a last step they will be testing some models on Android platform. If this also did not click well, they will be left with anyother option but to get out of mobile business. I think they have already launched a model that run on Android. It is actually a do or die situation for them. Let's hope for the best.

Looking back few years ago, BlackBerry is a huge smartphone company and I think the top 2 at that time was iPhone and BlackBerry. Having a BlackBerry phone, some people in my country thinks you are rich. I am not rich but I got to have this kind of phone and I love it. however, it went dead as it is stuck to 3/4 loading when restarted. I can't see much user of BlackBerry in my country but I still love that kind of phone.

Blackberry's are still rampant here in my country Nigeria, but everyone is switching to an iPhone, but people my mother's age are still happy buying Blackberry's, like my mother was excited to get the Passport when it came out, but she grew tired of it and was planning to switch to the Samsung Edge, but now someone has convinced her to buy an android operated Blackberry, so Blackberry's are still being used by people in their 40-60's in my country immensely.

I never saw BlackBerry with Android OS. Blackberry is not even in our market anymore. To be honest, I never thought there's Android operated Blackberry. Thanks for bringing that up.

But Blackberry has with no doubt the most beautifull phones and quality in the market! I hope they rise again and manage to drop the prices so I can buy a Blackberry Priv! xD It's simply too costly right now but it's so beautifull and so god damn perfect! It's the phone i've been looking in the past 3 to 4 years, and it costs around 700 dollars -.-'

    Can't they make one that costs , I don't know, 300 to 400 bucks? It's more affordable..

I am a big fan of BlackBerry and I am hoping that they can bounce back like it used to just like Nokia which is a great brand as well. I had BlackBerry before and it is my favorite phone with QWERTY keyboard.

In my opinion Blackberry is not very popular brand even though Blackberry phones have a good design, better battery performance and good interface. Android phones are popular in the Indiana market because India has great variety of Indian phones.

Blackberry is not anymore popular unlike about years ago. It is very popular. My fellow countrymen working in Middle East often used Blackberry then and everyone in my country wants to have Blackberry phone like how they want to have iPhone now.
