India now has its own local YouTube site, www.youtube.co.in, which has been launched by YouTube itself. With the new local Indian You Tube you can experience the most suitable and desired content which is preferred by Indian users.
The new YouTube India has a localized homepage and many features for searching videos and creating videos. By features like these users can find the most relevant Indian videos and also connect to users in India and globally.
The CTO and co-founder of YouTube Steve Chen said that India is a fast moving country and the Indian culture is steeped into both storytelling and videos, and this will give a platform to Indians to share their culture and lifestyle.
Anyone with a webcam or a mobile phone can create content on YouTube and also allow Indians to connect with each other.
YouTube India has signed partnerships wit some big names which include Erod Entertainment, Rajshri Films, Ministry of Toursim, NDTV, UTV, Zoom TV and others.
