Is it only me or have any of you too noticed how internet has become a part of our lives?
I find that I search for almost any and every sort of information on the net, be it a map or even the directions to a shop or even the how good a parlor is, I depend on the internet to tell me. Almost invariably before I go to a new place, shop or parlour I check out the directions, and read the reviews that at least ten others have written regarding the service and the products at any given place. I find looking at all this actually does help me. It helps me avoid running around trying to find the correct address and road to reach a place, it helps me to go to the right shop that offers the product or service that I want. I have also found that being forewarned helps me to ask the right questions to avoid getting the wrong product or bad service or sometimes on even how much to pay regardless of how much is being asked for by the salesperson. That reminds me do many of you shop online? I find that I don’t mind shopping online for books but that when it comes to things like clothes or gadgets I prefer to see and touch and to ask for a demo in case of gadgets before I buy them. Have any of you shopped for clothes or gadgets online?
I even search for recipes on the internet. Sometimes I find that somebody else has posted on the internet a better and simpler and a more efficient way to prepare the most traditional and popular dish. I find that searching on the net is a very good way to figure out what are the new ways in which to use the plain old potatoes or the tomatoes instead of making the same aloo subzi or the tomato chutney you have been making always. Internet has always lend a hand to me whenever I have been in the need of a recipe to use up the excess of tomatoes or crumbly dry bread or any such stuff that’s in excess , but too good to throw away food. I think its really nice to have the internet around to get really nice recipes. I also like reading through the food blogs and there are so many with such different styles of writing and cuisines that it’s really nice to read them.
Now is it any wonder that I find the internet a very important avenue to information. I would like to hear from all of you as to what are the other ways in which you all find the internet useful. Of course I visit this very forum through the internet, I like to read through the articles here in forum, post replies and read the other replies.
