MTS mobile is one of the new comers to Indian mobile market. They will have to put up a tough fight with compete with mobile market giants like Airtel, BSNL, etc. MTS mobile tries to reach their target audience through their attractive talk time packages. There are lots of criticisms against this new comer. MTS has announced daring 1 million free minutes of talk time between MTS to MTS. This launching offer is sure to attract customers.

MTS has already been in the mobile market for many years and they are one of the most popular service providers in Russia. Through their vast experience, they come up with tariff plans and mobile communication solutions that are customized to specific markets. Before entering any market, they make a complete research of the market on the usage pattern of the target market.

MTS has come up with many interesting tariff plans for its Indian customers. The very fact that you can get 1 million free minutes with other MTS users has attracted lovers and college students as they can have cheaper mobile phone solution for their needs. Coverage of MTS is nothing to be boasted about as yet. Their network is yet to expand further to provide complete coverage like Airtel.

They have also launched a number of full talk time recharge packages. We will not know for how long these full talk time vouchers will be available. This can be part of their launching offer. If you are within the city limits, you will be able to enjoy cheap mobile solutions. The quality of their customer service is questionable.

They have three basic plans SME, SME roaming and the Mass. The Mass comes with Rs. 49 but with no talk time. It comes with life time validity. However it will be valid only up to 2028. For a local number you will be charged 1p for 4 seconds if you are calling another MTS number. This is cheaper by 4 times with the popular one second billing. If you are calling other mobile service providers you will be charged 1p for 2 seconds.

In SME Roaming, you will be able to get free roaming for the first six months if you receive calls from MTS numbers. There are many free value added services bundled with this plan for 30 days. However, not many people use these value added services. Mobile users in India limit their usage to basic use. So bundling many value added services will not do much good.

Though MTS is globally a big brand in the mobile communication industry, in India it has to match up to the services of other major service providers who have vast experience in Indian market. Its major competitor will be Airtel and their customer service and prompt response have always been unbeatable. Unless MTS matches Airtel in terms of coverage and customer service.

What is wrong with you? Do you think MTS will be reading this and will run after 1 customer to get that person a broadband connection? If you want something, you have to go out, choose for yourself, and talk to the company!

Excuse me everyone , who are searching for mt’s broa’dband revi’ews , am in bengaluru city , bangalore city , heres what ihave to say

mt’s customer service – 0 out of 10 .
speed – good at first few weeks , 3 weeks approx.
free websites – yahoo doesnt work when clicked on mail , only happens when data is 0 , but its a free site.

mt’s broad’band is not for medium class persons, even though they have 999 / unlimited download , the speed is very low .
am going forward to report it consumers forum . and take proper action . if anyone in the same boat dont keep quiet , we have the right to question when you pay money and tax.

MTS is the connection which is really cheap in tariff issue in the market.But the connectivity is really really pathetic in p[arts of Kolkata.I have taken a connection by leaving my Vodafone connection and now i m repenting fror my deed.Its really really a bad connection .The network is too poor.After each calls of duration near about 10-20mins the connection gets disconnected.

Dear Mr Antony V,

My name is Dipankar Sri Gyan. I am one of the highly Non-Satisfied customer of MTS. To give you little bit of History. I purchased MTS mblaze from one of the resellers on 11th July ’10. MY MTS MDN Number is – 9141210214. Same day I had recharged for 999 in order to get Unlimited Download. The product worked up to the expected level for 10 Days. However, from the 11th Day I am facing all possible issues. I am unable to download any files. I am unable to browse any website. When I try to download any file, it downloads at a mind blowing speed of 3-5 Kbps. However, device is expected to give download speed of 3.1 MBPS as per the advertisement. I tried contacting your Customer Support but of now help. Your Tech Support Guys (Eg: Mayank, Anand etc) are of no help. I call them to get help in English but they respond back in Hindi. When I call, they raise a Service Ticket , two of which are (JUL – 4851, JUL – 8028). Support Guys say they will fix the issue. They say “Our Technician will come to your home to check what is the problem”. However, till date nobody came to my house to fix the issue. To my surprise, both the tickets were closed as resolved without taking acknowledgment from me. Is this the Kind of Customer Service your Company is suppose to offer? I bought your product thinking that I am buying Best Product. However, now I regret as to why did I buy this Useless Product.

I again called yesterday to lodge a complain. However, I got to know that there is a Condition applicable in 999 Unlimited Download Recharge. I was informed that under 999 Unlimited Download, an User will get optimum speed of 3.1 MBPS only till 15 GB download. Post 15 GB, an user will get download speed of 144 KBPS. My question here is why was this not communicated to me when I recharged for 999. I did not sign a document which had this clause. Then why Should I suffer? When I called the support, I was informed this. However, I told them that I am not even getting 144 KBPS. I am getting 3-4 KBPS speed. Support guy told me to change the settings from Hybrid to 1X in order to fix the issue. I did make these changes but still my issue is not fixed. I am unable to browse any website. It takes ages for one page to load. This support person did not even logged a ticket for me. He is saying for these kind of issues we are not suppose to log a ticket.

As of now it looks like I have wasted my 3000 rupees. Now I am regretting thinking I should have purchased Tata Photon or Reliance Net Connect. You guys have forced me to believe that one should never try New Things. Always go for Tried n Tested Products.

Now I don’t know what to do? Whom to Contact?. That’s why I am contacting you now hoping to get some help.

Please look into this issue on Priority. I know you would be busy in your work. However, as a Customer I request you to please please please look into this issue.

I am new user of mts broadband. Speed is OK but its disconnect after 10 to 15 min. and i disconnected my online work . Its not good for future mts services. Fix the problems of mts users because another network give more better services according to mts service. Likes i use reliance service its also disconnected but some time or by chance.

I purchased MTS Broadband data card on 10th Aug 2010 from Croma Store Lower Parel. I had requested for an internet connection with unlimited downloads and was directed to MTS sales executive based in the store.

After the stipulated days of free usage, on the 18th Aug, recharged my card for Rs 999 unlimited. On 28th Aug they disconnected my connection citing no balance in my account.

Frantic calls to their technical support telephone number elicited no response. I finally called their marketing person contacted their customer service person, who in turn came back with the following:

‘I have transferred 15GB to your account’

My question, ‘how does unlimited translate to no balance?’ remained unanswered till today.

Meanwhile, without informing me, they downgraded my connection from broadband to 1x (whatever that means)

My emails remain unanswered and unacknowledged.

Mr Abhishek, who condescendingly furnished me with his official contact number as a great favour, comes back with the following:

Marketing policies…. which all companies do…. sell unlimited with a ceiling of 10 GB, we allow 15 GB broadband and then downgrade to 1x for the next 15 GB.

Why are we not told? Not our fault…. Is not the executive your employee? Yes he is.
Why were my emails not replied to? We out source… company policy.
You, as the person in charge do not get updates on customer complaints? NO

WOW what a lucky man, in customer service, and not involved with customer related issues.

How does one deal with unethical behaviour. MTS Blaze’s Broadband service is the case in point. Rs 999 for unlimited usage for 30 days, their homepage screams. But beware, you are downgraded to 1x after 12 GB, this they mark with a microscopic asterisk and a note under the various schemes. I am a writer and bulk of my work is done on the internet. I have speed of less than 1 kbs.

I have MTS Mblaze connection in Bangalore,
1) Network is poor in bangalore (At least in my home i get full signal only near door)
2) It was really fast in the initial few days and now it is dead slow (even to open google search page many times i have to wait).
3) Frequently it will disconnect and reconnect so you need to be very careful when doing online secure transaction like bank transaction.

My dear friend, Dont waste your money in MTS Blaze. i found this is the worst committed broadband service its poor even then any 2G gprs. i am am gadget savvy , i had almost all broadband connection. this is worst among all . for first 10 days speed was amazing. but after 10 days it everyday speed reduced and after 29 days speed went down to 2kbps and some time in bps. i can say any 2G GPRS is better then this MTS Blaze, i dont why they called it broadband , its joke. so guys dont waste you money for MTS. i think reliance netconnect + is some what better, but that too gone to ditch for some days , kab aay jayee kab chala jayee pata nahi . Thank god I did not take MTS their demo person came to my house then also the speed was slow, on asking why he sd “thode time ke baad speed automatically bad jayega” what crap! I even checked their mobile plans for livewire and Mtag both are crap as they give only 150mins 150sms and a measly 150mb there are no decent addon’s like Airce or vodafone which give 2-3 GB for 99/-.Even the guy who gave me the reliance connections sd “Aap mujse connection lo ya mat lo lekin MTS se to kabhi mat lena!
