Hi,

I have taken Airtel Broadband connection since last six month without any issues of speed or disconnection. Only there were delays at the time of installation. The speed is very good (mine is 512 kbps) and no problem in billing also.

Yes,I too agree, i thought of going with reliance broad band.. bt after seeing this i dropped my plan, bt the same thing i experienced in AirTel Broad band..Almost it took 6 months to take my broad band connection.I have called them so many times , went to their office straight..no proper response. All the providers must think of, before they get an obligation from a customer whether they can do it in time or not.Irresponsiblity causes loss. They are really indeed of money. No proper customer services. How will they improve..will it take years to correct.

VSNL / TATA Communications has launched its WiMAX services for consumers in Bangalore this week. Even though the branding is yet to be done, it will be known as TATA Indicom WiMAX broadband service for now. Bookings have started this week and installations will start from Monday. Reliance WiMAX had lot of issues when they started, but VSNL claims that they have done extensive testing like about more than a year and they have been providing WiMAX services to their corporate customers till now. They claim to have more than double base stations installed in Bangalore than Reliance. With the help of more base stations, they will be able to handle more requests, so lesser DHCP issues probably. TATA Indicom broadband (wireline) had frequent disconnection problems because of last mile overhead connectivity in Bangalore and other big cities. WiMAX should resolve this problem. So some tough competition for Reliance WiMAX now !

The plans available are the same as TATA Indicom broadband plans, but plans with 256 kbps and above only. All prices are inclusive of taxes and all plans have unlimited data transfer.

Hi Abhaya,
Unfortunately all Indian companies have more or less the same sort of attitude but things are changing rapidly with more and more competetion. The broadband market is still very huge for any of the isp to get uncomfortable with competetion and will take another 5-6 years for them to actually start competing with each other.. Right now they all just coexist and none of them bothers each other as there is so much area still left for them to grow.. the real thing will begin when the whole of India will be covered with broadband with atleast two isps to choose from at any location thats when the isps will start paying attention on the quality of service and I hope this happens very soon.

I have a unique experience with Reliance Team, First of all It is not clear who are the controlling administratively to this organisation, my experince put a question mark is this group is a Fortune/ forbes rated company. such a unorgnised company without speed in dealing without committment to customers satisfaction no passion and above all no value.
I had a broad band connection and remain with me for a year, when ever I received the bill for payment and enquire any thing i could not get any satisfactory reply from any one all people seems to be in casual nature employment do not responding any thing, this continue with whole year. most surpring when I was transfered to another palce and wanted to surrender the connection inspite mr repeated reqest about a month for disconnection no one bother to collect the Modem etc nor money,The numbers appeared in the invoice seeme to be false. Etc etc

I fully agree as I have also experienced similar problems with their mobile phone connection in Siliguri. They only opt for clinets for making money and service is the last subject. Also, I visit Guwahati and heard from friends about their poor service. I only hope the authorities take some action about their service.

I agree with your comments... I too have the similar experience with Reliance...Further more the sales executives are most irresponsible and they donot even respond to your calls, once they receive the required fee and the application with supporting documents...As to my experience I am wating for the connection for more than 15 days from the date of their assured date of connection.....I recommend all the prospective internet seekers not to go for reliance under any circumstances.
