Unsubscribe to spam in Gmail

by Parminder on 08/01/2009

Gmail knows how to get its users and give the best features, with all their task options, lab tools, themes and other features and aspects. Now Gmail has another feature and this time it’s something which easily allows you to filter out spam and make your mail box receive the wanted and useful mails.
The new feature allows users to simply click on a button which unsubscribes the mail and also reports it as spam with just a click.
This is how it all works, you can either click on a mail and report it as spam, but if you want to unsubscribe from it and never receive a mail again from the same company or email address then click on unsubscribe instead. Gmail will then send a request to the send and mention that the email you are sending to has been removed from the list and that’s all. However the requests sent over by Gmail may take around 3 days to process and for the spam to get unsubscribed and not receive mails from that mailing list or company.

though this feature is available for a certain amount of time in gmail yet many people can also try the archiving and labelling features along with it since it will save time and help you organise the things better. there are many other ways in which gmail is way apart from the league and i think we can continue up this discussion with adding some more details on the other features like
1. themes
2. To do lists
3. web history
4. google reader
5. Labelling
6. Archiving
and many more…

if anyone intrested in knowing anything regarding any of the topics post me back i will reply to your queries or others following the blog.
